Wisconsin lost a very good friend to animalson November 16, 2016. We are saddened to share the news of the passing of Frank Schemberger of Eau Claire. Frank was one of our Advisors at Wisconsin Voters for Companion Animals. He worked hard to get Act 90 passed, the Commercial Dog Sellers Law, which regulates commercial dog breeders, rescues and shelters in the state.
He is pictured with a bench he built in memory of Pixie, a dog from a commercial breeding operation whose life was tragically cut short. Frank donated the bench to Elmbrook Humane Society in Brookfield. Below is a link to Pixie's Story which Frank wrote and was published in The Bark magazine.
Frank's photos were also exceptional. He took the cover photo for the top of our Facebook page and website and we've used many of his photos in our website articles.
Frank, you will be very much missed. You made the world a brighter place, for people and for animals.
